Piercing Scream does not employ the use of topical or injectable anesthetics in an effort to reduce pain prior to a piercing procedure.

 Emla Cream is a prescription topical anesthetic mixture of lidocaine and prilocaine. Emla cream is not sterile and should not be applied to open wounds or used as an analgesic following any procedure in which the skin has been broken.

  Because Emla cream is available through prescription only, we are unable to dispense the cream or pierce any potential client that has admittedly used Emla prior to the appointment. Candidates will have to reschedule their appointment after in the event that this occurs at least 24 hours post application. Allergic reactions to Emla cream are noted by the manufacturer:
